Pin Up America Announces American Pinup Burlesque Fest in Ybor City, Florida

First annual event to drawn an international crowd. This 3 day extravaganza includes the Miss Pin Up America Pageant, Burlesque America Competition, Car Show, Bike Show, Tattoo Contest, live music, vendors and cash bar.

Tampa, FL, March 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Tampa-based Pin Up America, Inc., the world leader in pin up, rockabilly and burlesque culture has announced an exciting event in the Tampa Bay area – the first annual American Pinup Burlesque Fest. The event will take place in Ybor at the historic Cuban Club. This year’s main event, Party Like a Pinup, will benefit Little Darling’s Pinups for Pitbulls and will feature celebrity, Shorty Rossi from Animal Planet’s Pit Boss.

A historic symbol for soldiers missing loved ones at home; pinup girls became popular in the early 1900’s and have always held a special place in our military culture. Today, pinup girls are as popular as ever thanks to Pin Up America, Inc., an Ybor City company that fully embraces the culture and helps to connect pinup, burlesque and rockabilly enthusiasts around the world.

The American Pinup Burlesque Fest is sure to attract a crowd from across the world and will be packed with unique parties, events, workshops, vendors and networking opportunities. Weekend activities include pinup, burlesque, hair, make-up and photography workshops, unique vendors, live bands and special guest burlesque performances. There will also be a hot rod car show, motorcycle show and tattoo competition. Featured events include the Miss Pin Up America Pageant, the Burlesque America Competition and a Party Like a Pinup Event on Saturday night that benefits Pinups for Pitbulls, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about breed specific legislation and discriminatory laws.
