Kihei, HI, March 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For the first time ever, in 2012, WooHawaii – Windows of Opportunity Tutoring is offering a full summer day camp. The A+ WooHawaii Summer Fun Empowerment Day Camp will be offered for youth ages 6 years old to 15 years old and held at multiple locations around Kihei, HI. This summer day camp is unique for Hawaii and offers the perfect balance of fun, learning and adventure for Maui youth.

The A+ WooHawaii Summer Fun Empowerment Day Camp is designed to help students avoid the typical learning loss of about two months of grade level equivalency in mathematical computation skills and reading comprehension skills over the summer months (Cooper 1996)*. The Summer Day Camp will feature daily mathematics, reading and ELA skills clinics, Hawaiian Language and Culture lessons, art lessons, music lessons, martial arts lessons, marine biology, special field trip adventures and more. Transportation to and from Day Camp will be available for a small fee.

The day camp is offering early registration discounts for students who register before April 2, 2012 and group discounts. The summer day camp program will also be awarding full scholarships to 5 needy families on Maui.

Campers must bring their own lunches & snacks daily and swimwear and towels for beach and pool days. The Summer Day Camp will be offered from May 28th, 2012 until July 27th, 2012 - Every weekday from 9 am to 5 pm.
