Tom Dennis, Marketing Director, Blanks Printing & Imaging Named American Marketing Association 2012 Chapter Volunteer of the Year

Out of the thousands of volunteers who give their time and talent to keep 78 AMA Professional Chapters humming along, Dennis was nominated and selected this year to achieve the prestigious award for his ongoing commitment and exemplary service.

Dallas, TX, March 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Just over four years ago, Tom Dennis first said “yes” when asked to become a volunteer for the American Marketing Association’s Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter (DFW AMA). Since that moment, his dedication to the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the local chapter earned Dennis the American Marketing Association 2012 Chapter Volunteer of the Year award. The announcement was made at the chapter’s March 21st Executive Luncheon at Bent Tree Country Club and Dennis received a standing ovation by over 70 attendees. The award will be officially presented at the AMA Leadership Summit in Chicago on April 28th.

The American Marketing Association, with approximately 30,000 members throughout North America, recognizes volunteers whose ongoing contributions to the organization have added significantly to the AMA’s goals at both local and national levels. Dennis, who is currently serving on the local chapter’s board as Immediate Past President, previously served as DFW AMA Chapter President 2010-2011; EVP Programs and Board Member 2009-2010; and Branding & Strategy Special Interest Group Director 2008-2009.

Out of the thousands of volunteers who give their time and talent to keep 78 AMA Professional Chapters humming along, Dennis was nominated and selected this year to achieve the prestigious award for his ongoing commitment and exemplary service. On the AMA national level, Dennis worked to support key initiatives, such as the annual Leadership Summit, Presidents’ Club and South Regional Retreat.

Leveraging his time, talents and company resources, Dennis has generously supported the DFW AMA chapter through branding, products, services and sponsorships. His leadership, communication, organizational and fiscal management skills have brought the chapter to a new level of professionalism, providing education and support to hundreds of local marketing professionals, students, allied suppliers and the community. Above all, he is a mentor and friend to each person he meets. Most everyone connected to the AMA knows and respects Tom Dennis for his hard work and outstanding achievements.
