Vermont Furniture Company Sponsors “Green Up Your Workplace Challenge”

Vermont Furniture company is urging people to join “Green Up Your Workplace Challenge” and help make this world greener place to live.

Vernon, VT, March 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In honor of Earth Day 2012 a small, family-owned furniture company in Vermont has issued a challenge to workers all across America: Green-up Your Workplace. “We see a great emphasis on encouraging people to adopt green practices in their personal lives”, notes Vermont Woods Studios Marketing Manager, Manjula Vemula “but we wanted to help extend those efforts into the workplace where even more progress can be made.”

Virtual Facebook Event
The team of fine furniture aficionados has created a virtual event on Facebook where workers from anywhere in the world can join their efforts to create greener workplaces. Here “attendees” can share tips, advice and encouragement on such topics as office recycling, green energy, car-pooling, ecological footprints and energy efficient office machines. “By sharing information and ideas we can change the world we work in,” said Vemula.

Green-Up Goals
The company’s goal is to persuade 400 workers to join their Green-Up Your Workplace Challenge. “As a wood furniture company committed to responsible forestry, we will be planting one tree for each person who attends our Facebook event,” Vemula pledged.
