2012 ACPA Pipe School Sets Attendance Record

Industry gathering praised for world-class training, DOT and peer interaction, and new product demos.

Irving, TX, April 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- A record turnout of 340 pipe industry professionals from across North America attended the 2012 ACPA Pipe School in Orlando, and virtually every participant commended the quality of training and related activities provided during the four-day gathering.

Held February 28 through March 2 prior to the 2012 Precast Show, this year’s Pipe School featured an array of outstanding speakers, two informative plant tours and an eye-opening post-installation inspection demonstration complete with laser-video profiling. Other highlights included a frank and lively interactive panel discussion with DOT representatives from six states, several high-tech product demos and a special ceremony honoring the winners of the 2011 Chairman’s Safety Award and 2011 ACPA Safety Awards.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with this year’s show, and our participants’ comments indicate that they, too, were glad they came,” said Matt Childs, president of the American Concrete Pipe Association. “Several first-time attendees told me they couldn’t wait to return for next year’s event, and they intended to bring several of their colleagues along with them.”

The annual ACPA Pipe School is arguably the most important training, education and networking event of the year for the concrete pipe industry. Attendees receive world-class instruction from some of the top minds in the industry in the areas of production, quality, safety, sales and marketing, and engineering design.

Several participants also took advantage of the opportunity to become QCast accredited by attending the Quality School track and passing an exam at the end of the course.

The 2013 ACPA Pipe School will be held January 9-12 in Indianapolis, again prior to The Precast Show.
