Ontario Gay Camping Resort Celebrates Second Season

Riverside RV Campground, Ontario's newest gay camping destination, is celebrating its second year of operation.

Tweed, Canada, April 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Riverside RV Campground in Tweed, Ontario is celebrating its second season of operation.

Riverside opened in spring, 2011 as the newest gay camping destination in Ontario to target adult gay men. The campground offers 110 tent and trailer sites on 96 wooded acres, in addition to an in-ground pool, recreation hall, cottage & trailer rentals, canoe rentals and more. The park also hosts a number of themed events throughout the summer.

“We’ve been thrilled by the response to Riverside,” says Derek Meade, who owns & operates the park with his partner in life and business, Clint St. Germain. “We’ve had campers stay with us from all over Ontario & Quebec, as well as the north eastern United States. There seems to be a very real demand in the gay community these days for rural getaways. Gay campgrounds are unique in the fact that they provide a safe & secure environment for gay people that is also social, fun and relaxing at the same time.”

The park caters to both seasonal and short stay campers, and is a private, membership park.

Riverside is located halfway between Toronto & Ottawa off of highway #7, and is approximately a two hour drive from each city.

The summer 2012 season commences on May 18, 2012.
