)-- Quickborn Consulting sponsored Dialogum’s Handelsgipfel Oracle Retail Summit 2012 organized in Bonn, Germany the 26 and 27 of March 2012. In this 3rd Handelsgipfel Retail Summit powered by Oracle, retailers from Germany and across Europe met to share ideas and best practices in retail, to understand the latest trends and challenges facing the sector, and to learn from new innovative business solutions.
As one of the key sponsors, Quickborn hosted a roundtable discussion together with Oracle Retail around the theme "Merchandise Planning and Optimization", organized on Tuesday 27 March. Quickborn Consulting also had a booth on the exhibition area, sharing insights and showcasing its solutions and services specifically designed to enhance retail operations.
Retail in Germany is characterized by fierce price competition, low margins and changes in the consumer buying patterns, forcing retailers to streamline their business processes, to optimize and automate operations and to change business models that are no more sustainable.
This requires that timely, reliable financial information is available for the business in order to make the right decisions. Moreover, the retailers’ IT environment has to be lean and flexible to be able to respond to these changes quickly, proactively and cost-effectively.
This year’s event focused on the following topics:
- Retail Management Information Systems
- Business Intelligence
- Customer Experience Management
- Comprehensive customer knowledge and innovative cross-selling
- Private Labelling
- E-commerce and multi-channel strategies
- Seamless, integrated supply chain with RFID
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Integrated management planning
