Looking4Parking.comReports a 300% Rise in Meet and Greet Parking Bookings

Travel parking retailer Looking4Parking.com has this week reported a 300% rise in bookings of Meet and Greet parking in the first quarter of 2012 when compared to the same period in 2011.

Leeds, United Kingdom, April 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Total bookings between 1st January and 31st March 2012 have already well exceeded 10,000 when compared with just over 3,600 bookings taken in the same period last year.

The parking price comparison specialist’s results are thought to be consistent with those of other parking providers who have also reported meet and greet or valet parking as their fastest growing sector.

In the first quarter of 2012, meet and greet parking accounted for 68% of the total travel parking bookings taken via Looking4Parking.com - an 8% rise on last year. Park and ride and on-site parking meanwhile accounted for 21% and 11% of the total bookings respectively - a reduction of 7% and 1% on last year.

“We’re very aware that the tide has begun to turn in favour of meet and greet parking, especially at the UK’s major airports,” commented Looking4Parking.com’s Managing Director Martin Mansell.

“A number of factors have influenced this shift, from a new wave of reliable, affordable national meet and greet brands springing up to a growing awareness of how much time this kind of parking can save customers when they fly or sail.”

“New research indicates that meet and greet parking can save passengers up to two hours on their journey time when compared to other types of parking. It’s no surprise then that it’s quickly becoming the first choice for many of our customers.”
