Cramer Toyota of Venice Donates a Truck Load of Toys

Venice, FL, April 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cramer Toyota of Venice donates a full truck load of toys to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots fundraiser. The Marine Corps League Gulf Coast Detachment #643 conducts its Toys for Tots campaign annually with the aim of helping the children of the gulf coast. According to Cramer Toyota of Venice General Manager Richard Bond, “As a local business in Venice, we love supporting the Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive because it benefits local children. This is one of those programs where you just don’t say no when they ask for your help.” The stated goal of the program is to provide a special Santa Claus for all the children of the Gulf Coast. Richard Bond goes on to say, “In difficult economic times like we are experiencing today, it is vitally important that when you give charitably that you look to the future. I can’t think of a better way to look to the future then to support charity that supports our youth. They are the future of our community.” Cramer Toyota of Venice employee Mike Johnson had a goal to fill up the bed of a Toyota Tacoma with toys. According to Mike Johnson, " By about December 15th, I knew we needed a bigger truck. The team switched the toys to a full sized Toyota Tundra and by the time the Marine Corps came for the toys we had filled it up to the point where it was over flowing. I am proud of the Cramer Toyota of Venice team and the many customers that got behind this cause. It makes a difference." Cramer Toyota of Venice wants volunteers for the 2012 toy drive. Once again Mike Johnson will be leading the charge. His goal is to work with other local organizations starting now so that Cramer Toyota of Venice becomes a central drop off point for the 2012 drive.
