The book is published by TiLu Press of Shanghai and Portland, Oregon, USA. Dedicated to anyone who has ever experienced lost or unreturned love, Lost Love Poems is an inspiring collection. By honoring lost loves as valuable loves in their own right, this collection helps readers understand the power of love, view past loves as inspiration, and encourages them to love again. Lost Love Poems not only speaks to the sorrows and pains of loss, it also tells readers that if they have ever loved so deeply, they must possess a great capacity to love again.

As the poet explained, love poems have been a recurrent feature of his poetry. Kavi's first two collections Emerging Goddess (2011), and Ascending Goddess (2012), are both collections that emphasize spiritual and devotional love poems dedicated to goddesses everywhere. In this book, the theme of Lost Love dominates the poetry; yet it remains an inspirational book.
