The Islington Chamber and Camden Business Network Want to Get Businesses Funded

London, United Kingdom, April 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In this tough economic climate, it's more difficult than ever before for small businesses to find funding to grow. Many SMEs lack confidence in the banking system to approach their local banks for bank loans. On the 18th April The ICoC and Camden Business Network are proud to present a high impact Business Boosting Session in association with CrowdCube, Market Invoice and Funding Circle. This session will introduce small business owners with alternative methods of funding their businesses.

Darren Westlake of CrowdCube will provide a high impact session on how to raise finances for your business through crowd-funding a new and innovative way to raise investment for your business. Anil Stocker from Market Invoice will introduce an alternative to invoice discounting. Laura McMullen from Funding Circle will introduce the innovative online marketplace which allows businesses to find low costs loans.

Crowdcube gives the UK’s best entrepreneurs and business pioneers a newfangled way to raise business finance by tapping into a ‘crowd’ of like minded trendsetters willing to invest smaller amounts of cash in exchange for rewards and a stake in their business. It’s really no different to co-operatives or charities that have been around for years. Crucially though, crowdfunding has been made much easier by the internet, online micro-payment systems and social networking. Crowdfunding can not only be used to raise money but also gain feedback and publicise an idea, project or business. MarketInvoice offers companies a more flexible, cost effective and better way to finance their business. By selling your invoices to a network of institutional investors, companies can release capital tied up in invoices in real time. Funding Circle is an online marketplace to help businesses find low cost loans quickly and investors get better returns. There are no middlemen, no banks, and no lengthy delays. By directly connecting people who want to invest money with vetted, established businesses who want to borrow money, we eliminate the cost and complexity of the banking world. It’s simple, we’re better for business, better for investors, better all around.
