May 10: FACETS Hosts Breakfast to Inform Community About Poverty and Homelessness Efforts in Fairfax

FACETS, a nonprofit that opens doors by helping parents, their children, and individuals who suffer the effects of poverty in Fairfax County, is hosting its annual Opening Doors event, a free breakfast to educate the public and local businesses about FACETS’ work to help families and individuals who are struggling in the Fairfax community.

Fairfaxp, VA, April 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- What: FACETS, a nonprofit that opens doors by helping parents, their children, and individuals who suffer the effects of poverty in Fairfax County, is hosting its annual Opening Doors event, a free breakfast to educate the public and local businesses about FACETS’ work to help families and individuals who are struggling in the Fairfax community.

Why: FACETS Opening Doors breakfast is an opportunity to learn about FACETS and meet fellow community members who take satisfaction in doing something important for their neighbors in need. With the second largest homeless population in the region, homelessness is a real problem in the Fairfax County-Falls Church community where more than 1,700 people are homeless. A majority of these are in working families with children.
