Poetry Review Organization Donates Part of Proceeds to St. Jude's Children's Hospital

New poets need an avenue to submit their poems and possibly be published to share their poems with the world. Words and Poetry Reviews believes in encouraging poets to keep writing, and thus produced the website, http://www.wordsandpoetry.net to support new writers. The site also is dedicated to helping children in need, and thus 25% of the proceeds are being donated to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Johnson, VT, April 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- A native of Vermont, Charmane Raye of Johnson announces that wordsandpoetry.net, a poetry website that was designed by Ms. Raye for the purpose of budding poets to have a chance to submit their poems, potentially for publication on wordsandpoetry.net, has been launched. Ms. Raye, already a contributor in the past to fund raising efforts for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta that makes the lives of children dying from cancer more fulfilling, submitted one of her poems for free to Lulu.com in 2005 to support a book, “Sometimes We Dream,” to fund research for the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. All contributing poets received no proceeds from the sale of “Sometimes We Dream,” published by Lulu.com, with all proceeds going directly to St. Jude’s. “Sometimes We Dream,” is also available through wordsandpoetry.net, and all proceeds go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

A poet herself, Ms. Raye knows how important it is to encourage new poets to keep writing to perfect their craft, and to get published. Therefore, with the teachings by business entrepreneur, and meteorologist/commodity trading adviser, James P. Roemer, of Sarasota, Florida, she developed a website in her spare time to support both the creativity in others, and to help sick children. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from wordsandpoetry.net go directly to support the hospital. It has been hailed by Lulu.com and others to be a generous enterprise, and a credit to the business people in this community and beyond. The support generated for this worthy cause, has all been in-kind to date, but it is the hope of the founders that it will grow to support needy children in this changing economy for a long time.
