Server Side Design to Help Sponsor ALS Fundraiser at Circle D Transmission

Server Side Design is helping to sponsor an ALS fundraiser at Circle D Transmission.

Houston, TX, April 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In their continuing effort to support local causes and remain involved in the community, Server Side Design has signed on to be a sponsor for the Second Annual Dennis Sehorn Foundation Fundraiser. The fundraiser is taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 5 at Circle D Transmission, 13706 Hempstead Road, Houston, TX 77040.

The event raises funds for the Dennis Sehorn Foundation, a 100 percent volunteer 501(c)(3) organization working to provide support to PALS (People with ALS/Lou Gehrig’s). The mission of the foundation is to ease the physical and financial burdens from this debilitating disease. Donations will go directly to PALS and their families to assist with medical, caregiver, and quality of life expenses. While most similar organizations focus on research related to treating, curing, or preventing ALS, the Dennis Sehorn Foundation feels a responsibility to offer support and assistance to those living with ALS.

“We are more than happy to give of our time and effort to support this cause and assist those who have family members suffering for this disease,” said Roger Janik, Server Side Design president and principal. “We feel we can make a difference in people’s lives by contributing and, at the same time, enjoy the company of great people and excellent food as well. From the food preparers to the sponsors and everyone involved, we all have something to be proud of.”

The fundraiser will include a BBQ lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. provided by Demerius Bar-B-Q at $10 a plate. The event also includes a car show featuring classic hot rods and late model performance cars. Participants can also see a transmission and torque converter show and tell. Kids can have fun with face painting and snow cones. A silent auction will also be taking place at the event. For a full listing of auction items, please visit www.als-sehorn.org.

There will be a live broadcast from Skeeter with emcee Russell Sherrill on AM 700 KSEV.

The Dennis Sehorn Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The foundation was started in honor of Dennis Sehorn, who passed away from ALS in 2008 after a four-year battle with the disease.
