Cary Innovation Center Hosts First IdeaSlam® on Monday, April 16

Organization Invites Entrepreneurs to Share Business Ideas in a Constructive Setting

Cary, NC, April 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Cary Innovation Center (http://caryinnovationcenter.org), a local organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs by offering professional mentoring and business education programs, has announced that its first IdeaSlam will be held on Monday, April 16 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the center’s offices at 201 W. Chatham St., Suite 204. At the IdeaSlam, participants will share their business ideas in an open setting and receive honest, constructive feedback from Cary Innovation Center facilitators, many of whom have started their own successful businesses and held senior leadership positions in international corporations. Participants will receive feedback from other entrepreneurs who are a part of the session as well. In addition to being a fun and rewarding experience, the IdeaSlam functions as a gateway into the Cary Innovation Center’s Ideation program, which helps entrepreneurs structure and communicate their business plans, transforming raw ideas into refined strategies that can be evaluated and assessed. Specifically, ideation involves identifying an opportunity, an offering, a target market and a plan for generating profits.

The event costs $35, and there are 25 seats available for participants. To register online, visit http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3280890231. Registration will close on Saturday, April 14. For more information about the IdeaSlam, visit http://caryinnovationcenter.org/ideaslam.
