Tampa, FL, April 20, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- Early in their development, children are taught that plants are supposed to be green. The employees of Sun Toyota in Tampa, Florida believe the same elementary color association should apply to plants of the manufacturing variety.
From April 20 through the 23, Sun Toyota hopes to sell 100 environmentally-responsible vehicles to 100 families during its 100 Hour Earth Day Sales Event. Drivers who decrease their ecological footprints by upgrading to a car that consumes less gas will also be rewarded with a tree planted in their honor.
Earth Day, first held in 1970, is an internationally-recognized event dedicated to heightening environmental awareness. Every April 22nd, this global initiative to preserve natural resources is celebrated in countries around the world.
Sun Toyota’s inventory contains an abundance of options for those who wish to increase their MPG while assisting the EPA. The Toyota Prius, Prius c and Prius v are all capable of travelling 42 miles combined on one gallon of gasoline. Other alternatives include the hybrid versions of the Camry and Highlander.
Since opening the doors to its new LEED-certified dealership, Sun Toyota hasn’t wavered in its support of conservation technology and greener causes. The new facility in Holiday, Florida harnesses the sun to power its lights, uses reflective glass to reduce cooling costs and eliminates waste by recycling water. It seems appropriate that a dealership with the name Sun Toyota should utilize the power of solar energy.
