Brangelina Arrive in the Galapagos Islands

Newly engaged eco-conscious stars visit fragile archipelago

Toronto, Canada, April 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie recently landed in the Galapagos Islands for their family holiday, turning the attention of the world’s media to the beautiful, protected UNESCO World Heritage Site off the coast of Ecuador.

Reported to be staying on Santa Cruz Island, the couple and their brood will be able to observe the Galapagos Giant Tortoise in its natural surroundings in the Santa Cruz Highlands. This area is also famous for its incredible lava tunnels, some of which are over 1km long.

G Adventures is one of the larger operators in the Galapagos and offers land stays visiting Santa Cruz and other islands in the archipelago, as well as operating four exclusive yachts that cover a range of trip styles and budgets for those who prefer to spend their nights at sea.

· A 10-day Land Galapagos – Multi Activities trip including snorkelling and swimming in the Galapagos, visiting Santa Cruz island, San Cristóbal and the Charles Darwin Research Station is priced from $3,149 for departures from June to December 2012.
· A 10-day Deluxe Galapagos round-trip sailing from Quito on board the G6 yacht to the south islands is priced from $4,619 for departures year-round.
· A 10-day Galapagos Family Adventure trip including swimming, snorkelling and a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station is priced from $3,599.

Prices include local flights and most main meals but passengers must make their own way to Quito. Prices do not include park entry fee of $100.00 and transit card fee of $10. Tips and drinks additional.

G Adventures actively protects the marine wildlife environment of the Galapagos. The tour operator’s non-profit organization Planeterra recently launched the ‘Galapagos Oil Spill Prevention Project’ to prevent oils spills from contaminating the fragile ecosystem.
