)-- A rapidly growing Tampa-based marketing firm has opened an office in New Orleans to handle a high volume of media relations, advertising, sponsorship and event production for regional brands in the oil, automotive and legal sectors. Current marketing campaigns are underway for several major clients, including the regional Ferrari dealer and a prominent law firm, Farrell & Patel, which specializes in asset protection, immigration and the BP Oil Spill litigation for over 2,000 businesses and individuals. The New Orleans office will provide Ignition clients the benefit and comfort of having a local presence as well as access to a staff with knowledge and expertise of the area.
Ignition’s Louisiana office will be managed by Vince Caruso, a former Emmy-award winning television anchor/reporter. Mr. Caruso started his career at WBRZ in Baton Rouge and then worked for television stations in Alexandria, Louisiana, Jackson, Mississippi, New Orleans, Louisiana and as a correspondent for CNN covering Louisiana, Mississippi and parts of Alabama. An LSU grad, Caruso has earned over 20 Associated Press awards ranging from investigative reporting to best feature story and every category in between.

Following his television career Caruso made the transition into public relations and marketing. He served as the Director of Public Relations for Al Copeland Investments, the New Orleans company that owned the Popeye’s Fried Chicken franchises as well a chain of more upscale restaurants and boutique hotels. While at Copeland’s he spearheaded the PR efforts for the purchase of the world famous Improv Comedy Clubs as well as the subsequent franchise development of that entity. He also held the position of Director of Marketing and Public Relations for LifeCare Hospitals in New Orleans where he blueprinted a media campaign that was featured on the cover of Adweek magazine.
Most recently Caruso maximized marketing efforts for a Florida company by inventing a product that generated over $6 million in quantifiable free publicity and was featured in 16 national publications, including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Daily News and ESPN the Magazine. This product was also featured three separate times as a prize in the final showdown of the popular game show The Price is Right.
