Ceram to Hold Breakfast Workshop - "ISO 50001 - Implementing an Energy Management System - Why and How?" - 18 May 2012

To launch the new ISO 50001 service, Ceram will be holding a free Breakfast Workshop "ISO 50001 – Implementing an Energy Management System – Why and How?" on Friday 18 May at its headquarters in Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent.

Introduced in June 2011, ISO 50001, the new international energy management standard provides a framework and guidance for monitoring, managing and potentially reducing energy consumption.

To launch the new ISO 50001 service, Ceram will be holding a free Breakfast Workshop "ISO 50001 – Implementing an Energy Management System – Why and How?" on Friday 18 May at its headquarters in Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent.

The workshop will focus on why energy management is becoming a necessity as a result of rising energy costs and increased stakeholder interest in an organisation’s environmental impact and will be of benefit to Energy Managers wishing to find out more about the new standard.

Jennie Thomas, Environmental Services Manager, and Anne Forbes, Management Systems Manager, from Cleveland Potash, operators of the UK’s only potash mine and a leading producer and supplier of potash fertilizers for agriculture and industry uses, will give an independent view on why energy management is so important to their business.

The workshop will run from 8:00 - 10:15am and will include a buffet breakfast, presentations, Q&A session, and networking opportunities.
