New Jersey School Districts Participate in an Innovative Autism Program

Lincoln Park School District, in conjunction with Scholastic Intervention Solutions, has launched an innovative program with the goal of improving the administrative and instructional aspects of their autism program as well as reducing costs 20-30%.

Stirling, NJ, May 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Over the past several years, Scholastic Intervention Solutions has developed a fully supported ABA Autism Program to manage and navigate all the core operations of an autism continuum including: administrative functionality (such as assessment, IEP/curriculum development), educational materials, and support services. Initially, three NJ school districts are participating with 55 educators and 26 students along with several administrators.

“Our goal is to improve our current program that will meet and exceed the essential requirements of a successful autism program,” says Superintendent James Grube. “In addition, the feedback we provide during the initial phases of the program will help shape the services for the long term.”

The crushing convergence of higher costs and shrinking budgets; federal and state legal mandates; shortage of expertise, and educational compliance requirements has made it nearly impossible for school districts to meet the financial and logistical burden today, or plan with certainty for the future.

“These challenges are not going away, they will only intensify. If we don’t forge a path towards controlling these issues, ultimately the kids will suffer.” Greg Carr, founder of Scholastic Intervention Solutions, added, “This is why I believe this program is so important. We must leverage modern technology and further refine the tools necessary to control costs and manage the continuum of services including instructional, administrative, support and oversight in order to improve the effectiveness of any school based autism program.”
