The Mortgage Alliance of Southwest Florida Offers HARP 2.0 Refinancing

Members of the Mortgage Alliance Are Handling Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) Loans for Homeowners Who Would Like to Refinance to Lower Interest Rates

Sarasota, FL, May 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Members of the Mortgage Alliance of Southwest Florida are handling Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) loans for homeowners who are not facing foreclosure but would like to refinance to today’s low interest rates.

Homeowners who are unable to refinance because of a drop in home value are the prime candidates for the next wave of this program, known to industry insiders as HARP 2.0.

To qualify for HARP 2.0, homeowners must be current on their mortgage payments and have a stable income history. Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac must own or back their loan and must have done so on or before May 31, 2009. Lender participation is voluntary and all HARP loans are subject to lender requirements.

The Mortgage Alliance of Southwest Florida is a group of independent non-bank mortgage professionals formed to offer leadership and education during these tumultuous times in the financial industry. The coalition is dedicated to promoting high professional and ethical standards, local knowledge and a customer-focused approach to mortgage lending.
