The Broker Direct Team to Hold First Time Home Buyer Seminars in the Riverside County this Summer


Murrieta, CA, June 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Broker Direct Team, headed by Pete Willner, broker associate with Evergreen Realty Murrieta, has 6 upcoming dates on which the team will hold “first time” home buyer seminars for residents in and around the Riverside County Inland Valley. “Initially we were looking at helping local inland valley residents transition to home ownership, but with the strong buyer climate we are experiencing, many of those who are expressing interest are from surrounding areas. Still others are buyers who have been out of the market for one reason or another and are looking for “entry level” housing to acquiesce back into home ownership” says Willner.

According to the California Association of Realtors, in 2006, 27.1% of home buyers were purchasing for the first time and the median down payment was $10,000. Those are numbers we can work with says Willner, the median price for homes purchased by first time buyers in Riverside County in the first quarter of 2007 was $343,770. In the city of Perris where we are holding the June 16th event, there are 315 single family homes available below that number and even more if you include condos, town homes and manufactured homes.

To paint and even brighter picture for first time buyers, a buyers market causes many sellers to make concessions they wouldn't if the market were in there favor. With the surplus of unsold inventory says Willner, sellers are more apt to accept contingent offers, pay closing costs and even carry back financing for buyers. All this, combined with historically low interest rates makes it a great time to buy, whether you've done it before or not... and they're here to help the “or nots.”
