Double-Digit Growth in Worldwide Metal Recycling Encourages Major Recycling Service to Launch Improved Website to Meet Demand

International Metal Corporation has launched a new, expansive website to meet an increased demand for recycled metals.

Stoughton, MA, May 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The steady and accelerating growth in worldwide metal recycling has spurred International Metal Corporation (IMC), a major international metal recycling service, to launch an expanded informational website to meet the demand for metal recycling information and services.

According to IMC principal Bruce Balder, the $65 billion worldwide metal recycling industry has seen an almost 15% surge in steel recycling over the past three years. Steel is the world’s most recycled metal, with over 76% percent of scrap steel going back into production to create new products.

In response to the increased demand, IMC has recently launched a new and expanded website designed to provide companies interested in recycling scrap metal with information about recycling services. Prospective recyclers can learn about recycling various metals used in virtually every phase of manufacturing and construction, including steel, brass, copper, aluminum, and high temperature alloys.

“As the demand for recycled metals continues to increase, it’s vital that companies get the information they need to not only recycle their scrap metal, but to know where to purchase it for use in making new products,” states Balder. “New steel products made with recycled scrap steel can use less than thirty percent of the energy required to make steel from virgin iron ore. Recycling scrap metal saves resources, energy, and money.”

Stoughton, MA-based International Metal Corporation, with an additional processing plant in Providence, Rhode Island, is one of the oldest family-owned recycling businesses in the Northeast. The company provides scrap metal pick-up service and accepts drop-offs at its two locations. In addition, the company analyzes, sorts, cleans, processes, and ships recycled steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and alloys all over the world. http://www.internationalmetal.com
