Brown Hill Estate the Latest Gold Member for the Margaret River Guide

Brown Hill Estate has built its reputation as a premium small wine producer since its establishment in 1997. Based on the philosophy of quality rather than quantity, Brown Hill is one of the few wineries to grow its grapes without irrigation, producing smaller and more intensely flavoured grapes.

Margaret River, Australia, May 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Best Small Producer of the Year two years running, Brown Hill Estate is the latest business to join forces with the Margaret River Guide in its promotion of the Margaret River Region.

Brown Hill Estate has built its reputation as a premium small wine producer since its establishment in 1997. Based on the philosophy of quality rather than quantity, Brown Hill is one of the few wineries to grow its grapes without irrigation, producing smaller and more intensely flavoured grapes. Its Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon have all received high acclaim for their complexity and rich flavours.

A testament to this growing reputation for quality is the Small Producer of the Year Award that Brown Hill received in the Ray Jordan’s WA Wine Guide in both 2009 and 2010. Winemaker Nathan Bailey has also been acknowledged by James Halliday in the Australian Wine Companion 2011. Ray Jordan’s 5 Star rating was awarded to Brown Hill, along with many 92 to 96 point ratings for Brown Hills’ wines including the 2009 Fimiston Reserve Shiraz (95 points, Ray Jordan, The West Australian Wine Guide 2012).

The Margaret River Guide is extremely proud to represent Brown Hill Estate as it promotes the region to visitors and locals alike.
