Washington, DC, June 11, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Eye Images Media, LLC proudly announces the first year anniversary of Global Woman Magazine. The magazine that began as a simple concept has grown into a well-respected publication around the world. Women have responded overwhelmingly to the quarterly magazine that addresses not only women’s issues, but all humanitarian issues on a global spectrum.
“I am so pleased at the overwhelming acceptance and growth of the magazine in the last year,” said Angela Peabody, Founder and CEO of Global Woman. Peabody shares, “To have a platform like this for women around the world, regardless of race, religion, nationality, age, physical attribute, financial status or sexual orientation is what I have worked for my entire life.”
An accomplished and award-winning writer, Angela Peabody created Global Woman Magazine from a vision she had of bringing women together in one common medium to share their stories with each other. Her career has taken her across the globe, as she speaks out against poverty, oppression, illiteracy, female genital mutilation, breast cancer, fistula and a myriad of issues that affect women. Angela is a highly sought after public speaker. In 2006, she spoke at Harvard University, The University of Pittsburgh, Catonsville Community College, Saint Simon’s Island Festival and Making Poverty History Conference in London, where she shared the stage with members of the House of Parliament.
Global Woman not only celebrates its one year anniversary but also the release of its Spring 2007 issue. This issue is the largest to date and features articles covering everything from abusive relationships to world religions.
