About Bala Jack Yakubu
Bala Jack Yakubu is the Founder, Chair and Managing Director of Deminers Charity Foundation, Deminers Concept Nigeria Ltd. The foundation is a nonprofit, Non Government Organization (NGO) geared to the care of those who have fallen victim to land mines and Explosive Remnants of War (ERW). Many of these victims have been displaced because of terrorism, religious violence, and other armed conflicts in Nigeria and the West African Sub region. The goal of Dr. Yakubu's foundation is to show loving care and management of those who have been adversely affected by land mines and to be one of the pillars of the Ottawa Convention (Victim Assistance program). Dr. Yakubu received his B.S. in Military Science from Administrative Staff College of Nigeria and is active in land mines victim assistance along with the removal, clearance and destruction of explosive remnants of war.
