The Arizona Team Hosts 2nd Annual Golf Classic to Benefit Children First Academy Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ, June 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Arizona Team, an Arizona based sales and marketing company, announced that the company recently held its 2nd Annual Golf Classic to benefit Children First Academy Phoenix, a non-profit public charter school for families below the poverty line.

Seven golfers from The Arizona Team were selected to play in the 2nd Annual Golf Classic held on March 7, 2012. Each golfer was encouraged to fundraise a minimum of $50 each in order to participate in a game of golf. With 100% of proceeds going to Children First Academy Phoenix, each golfer surpassed their minimum fundraising goal allowing for a large sum donation.

According to city-data.com, Phoenix’s poverty level has been near twenty-one percent since 2009, with forty percent of those as children. Children First Academy allows these families and students a place to gain education. Each and every student is currently homeless. The school provides support, stability, and hope for kids amid a chaotic world of homelessness and hopelessness.

The Arizona Team makes it a priority to participate in many community projects – most of which are “show up and get to work” projects. The Arizona Team wanted to organize an event that they planned from the ground up. This event helped them create more relationships within the community and also supported an organization that they felt was pertinent to current events.
