Canyon High School Cross Country Mattress Fundraiser
On Saturday, June 23rd from 10am to 5pm the Canyon High School Cross Country Team is holding its 1st Annual Mattress Fundraiser Sale at the High School. Mattresses will be marked down 30-60% off with proceeds benefitting the Cross Country Program.
New Braunfels, TX, June 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Canyon High School Cross Country Team is hosting a one of a kind fundraiser on Saturday, June 23rd from 10am to 5pm at the High School. Head Coach Sheila West, with the assistance of Custom Fundraising Solutions - Austin, will be selling name brand beds (ie. Restonic and Southerland) 30-60% off retail in hopes of raising money for the boys and girls cross country teams.
Coach West took over the team 5 years ago and has increased its membership from 20 members in 2008 to over 80 members today. Obviously with the increased interest the cost of running the program has increase substantially. Coach West decided to go with a non-conventional fundraiser because she was "tired of selling the same stuff to parents and friends of her athletes year after year. People don't buy a mattress because they feel guilted into it. They genuinely need it, and if I can provide a quality product and make money for my team; it is a win/win." Coach West is trying to raise enough money to pay for entry fees, training equipment, and travel expenses for the year.
There will be 22 beds on display of all sizes, textures, and firmness with prices ranging from $199 to $1900.
