SmartDrive™ Releases Dramatic Crash Video

San Diego, CA, June 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- SmartDrive Systems Inc™, a global leader in driver risk management systems and services, announced today the video and data results from crash testing in Las Vegas this month as part of the ARC/SCI 2007 convention.

SmartDrive installed cameras in 6 of the crashed vehicles and obtained important crash data, including video of both the driver and of the driver’s point of view. The crashes Smart Drive recorded included a head-on collision at a speed of more than 40 miles an hour. The SmartDrive units not only recorded video, but also speed and g-force readings of each crash.

The Collision Safety Institute conducted the testing on June 4 at the Las Vegas Speedway as part of its annual convention to study crash reconstruction. SmartDrive supplied its data and video to the convention. A total of 10 vehicles were crashed, including remote-controlled cars and cars manually driven by Rusty Haight of CSI. Haight is in the Guinness Book of Records for most crashes by a human; Haight has conducted/crashed more than 800 vehicles.
