Pittsburgh, PA, June 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Bayer MaterialScience LLC produces a wide range of films used in the automotive, apparel, footwear, electronics, lighting, medical packaging, printed graphics, and security and ID card industries. The company recently unveiled a new website that is essentially a one-stop shop for users of its specialty film products. Launched by Bayer’s films business, the site consolidates information about the company’s comprehensive line of thermoplastic polyurethane, polycarbonate, coated and multi-layer film products in one easy-to-navigate site. The URL is www.bayerfilms.com.

“The website was designed with our customers in mind,” said Chris Cooper, business development manager - Functional Films NAFTA, Bayer MaterialScience LLC. “In the past, our films product line crossed business units within Bayer and our product offering reflected that organization, which made it tough for customers to find the film they needed. This website resolves that issue. Once there, customers can find the film they need with a simple click of their mouse.”

Visitors to the website will find a wealth of information about Bayer’s Makrofol® polycarbonate (PC) films, Dureflex® thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) films, Bayfol® PC blended films, coated and other specialty and multi-layer films. Arranged by application, the website makes it easy for users to find the specialty films product best suited for their manufacturing operation.

An important feature of the website is its “Processing Options” section. There, users can find information about manufacturing processes such as autoclave processing, flame lamination, foam-in-place, heat sealing, hot melt adhesive laminating, film insert molding, printing and thermoforming, as well as find the type and grade of Bayer material best suited for each operation.

Supporting literature – data sheets, brochures, case studies and archived press releases – can also be easily downloaded from the new site, along with company location and contact information.

Additionally, a convenient “Sales Representative Locator” feature allows visitors to quickly find their local Bayer sales representative.

“By selecting Bayer MaterialScience, customers get the best of both worlds: the custom solutions of a highly focused entrepreneurial specialty films supplier complemented by the extensive material science savvy of a world-class chemical corporation,” Cooper concludes.
