Canadian Eye on Africa Announces the First Annual African Resource Trade and Diplomatic Show

Canadian Eye on Africa (CEA), in collaboration with KBI Empower Group and members of the Canadian International Council (CIC), is pleased to announce the First Annual African Resource Trade and Diplomatic Show.

Ottawa, Canada, June 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Canadian Eye on Africa (CEA) in collaboration with KBI Empower Group, members of the Canadian International Council (CIC), and various Afro-Canadian Scholars, professors and researchers at Canadian Universities, is pleased to announce the First Annual African Resource Trade and Diplomatic Show.

Join with more than 55 Embassies, Security Companies and Energy & Resource companies as they assemble in Ottawa for this groundbreaking event. This year’s show will focus on African Resource and Investment Opportunities and Security & Resource Asset Protection.

The 2012 Canadian Eye on Africa (CEA) First Annual African Resource Trade and Diplomatic Show will be held at Carleton University, River Building in Ottawa on September 28, 2012.

Highlights of this year’s show will include the following:

- A showcase of the cultural dress of the African countries represented as well as a buffet-style dinner celebrating seven of the 10 fastest growing economies in the world - Africa (22nd World Economic Forum 2012).

- Attendance by various Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and Senators, from the various countries involved.

- Representation by several Resource and Security Companies and Diplomatic representatives from various African countries including Ambassadors, Attaches, High Commissioners and Foreign Ministers.

The show has received endorsement from representatives of the following organizations:

- Asset Protection and International Security Groups
- A number of Energy and Resource companies operating in Africa
- Afro-Canadian Diaspora including Professors, Engineers, Scholars and Researchers
- Various Representatives from the African Diplomatic Community
- Representatives from Canadian political, business and government News Media
- American Society for Industrial Security

Planned speakers for this African Trade and Diplomatic Show will include the following:

- The Honourable Minister John Baird, including high level Canadian Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and Senators, as well as Provincial and municipal representatives.
- The Foreign Minister of South Africa and The Director of ANiP(Angola National Private Investment Agency)
- Professors and Scholars focusing on current issues related to African investment and economic growth who will discuss these mechanisms: Protecting Corporate Assets and African Resources through Knowledge to Attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
