taxiplon International a Greek Mobile Start-Up Launches in Australia, Brazil and Romania

taxiplon a Greek mobile start-up launches in Australia, Brazil and Romania and fights for market share against larger VC backed rivals.

Athens, Greece, June 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- taxiplon, a young start-up that offers one of the most complete and proven taxi booking and management systems worldwide launches in US, Australia, Brazil and Romania and fights for market share against larger VC backed rivals.

taxiplon was launched as a pilot in the city of Athens just 9 months ago, just about the same time as other global rivals were coming to market. The service started offering a taxi booking, and vehicle management system to match passengers & available taxi drivers in Athens, but was designed with an international mindset from the start.

The last couple of months taxiplon's international expansion efforts have increased multifold, fueled by the mobile apps' nomination in Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress Global awards 2012 as "best app in transportation category" and the subsequent worldwide media and press coverage.

Following a number of franchise agreements signed with key partners, taxiplon is currently preparing to launch in major cities worldwide like Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, and Bucharest, while it is already live and operational in Athens, Thessalonica, Nicosia, and Chisinau.

Although, it is already managing and processing thousands of rides from tens of thousands of passengers, from a vast geographical area, taxiplon enjoys 50% growth every month and it can cover any possible combination regarding taxi hailing, booking, and electronic payment operations for any city in the world.

Just recently taxiplon has come to agreement with the largest taxi operator in Australia and New Zealand and has formed a joint cooperation with a US establishment, to introduce the system in the US market with tests successfully performed already in NYC and San Francisco.

These developments were achieved so far with personal investments and organic growth, without taxiplon ever receiving any outside funds, although the company is aggressively seeking investment to fuel their growth and expansion plans.
