Sproat has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 1991. Sproat is one of only seven attorneys in the entire State of Florida with dual certifications in Labor & Employment Law and Civil Trial Law.

Board certification is the Florida Bar’s highest evaluation of attorneys’ competence and experience in one or more of the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Florida Supreme Court. Board certification evaluates attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiencies in designated areas of law, as well as professionalism and ethics in practice. Only board certified lawyers may use the term “specialist” or “expert” when referring to their legal credentials. About 4,500 Florida attorneys are board certified.

Sproat primarily defends employers in all aspects of employment law.
