Banyan Adds Challenger Capabilities
Banyan Air Service based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport has added the Bombardier Challenger CL- 601-1A/3A/3R and CL-604 to its FAA Part 145 Repair Station, as well as to its EASA certification and Brazil, Argentina, and Venezuela approvals.

Banyan’s capabilities for the Challenger includes all Chapter V and Time Life Items inspections, comprehensive maintenance tracking, structural modifications and repairs, non-destructive testing, aircraft weighing, and paint/interior upgrades. Engine maintenance for General Electric CF-34 engines include, boroscope inspections, troubleshooting and engine rigging.
Banyan also offers avionics upgrades for all Challenger models; including, in-flight entertainment and connectivity, high speed data/Wi-Fi for Internet and email, hi-definition monitors, Blu-Ray DVD, moving map, and Tailwind 300 Live TV. Flight deck upgrades include glass cockpits with synthetic vision, flight management systems, lateral navigation/vertical navigation, wide area augmentation systems, and data loaders. Safety and operational upgrades include traffic collision avoidance systems, enhanced ground-proximity warning systems, cockpit voice records, flight data recorders, and terrain awareness and warning systems.
