McKim & Creed Engineer Inducted as Statewide Officer

Wilmington, NC, July 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Kelly Ham, PE, a project engineer with McKim & Creed in Wilmington, North Carolina, was sworn in as secretary of the Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) at the 1,700-member organization’s annual conference, which was held June 21-23 in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Ham has nearly 10 years’ experience in environmental and civil engineering, and has been involved in a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects ranging from initial planning through construction administration. She has undergraduate degrees in biological engineering and history from North Carolina State University, and a master’s of business administration from UNC Wilmington.

She has served as community leadership chair, president-elect, president, past president, and is currently serving as a director of PENC’s Southeastern Chapter, and is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. She is also a member of AWWA and is currently serving as the NC AWWA-WEA 2013 Spring Conference program chair.
