Cinderella Story at the Emmy Awards

"Its JerryTime" (http://www.itsjerrytime.com), a zero budget animated website created solely and in their spare time, by two brothers, has won an Emmy Award making it the first blog to receive such an honor.

Boston, MA, June 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- An obscure, no-budget animated webseries called Its JerryTime! (www.itsjerrytime.com) was awarded an Emmy at the 34th Annual Creative Arts and Entertainmant Daytime Emmy Awards, presented on Thursday June 14 at a black-tie gala at Hollywood and Hollywood Highland Ballroom.

The laconic web presence, featuring a hard-luck character named Jerry, won it the hard way.

For Its JerryTime!, produced by two brothers, it was the second Emmy nomination in a row, losing out last year to Seminal Web Event AOL Live 8 in the Emmys first-ever broadband award competition.

This year, Its JerryTime! beat the odds and received the Emmy nomination again. Then they scored an unlikely victory in the Broadband Variety category itself, besting the likes of Showtime, Discovery Channel, The Guiding Light and the Extreme Mentos and Diet Coke Experiment.

This achievement marked Its JerryTime! as the first blog (video blog) to ever win an Emmy Award.

The humorous webseries is created solely by Boston-based brothers Orrin and Jerry Zucker (not from "Airplane") and tells the animated True tales from the life of Jerry, an everyman whose life is just a bit harder than it should be.

The series is produced in Boston by broadcast design firm Ozone Inc, who produces the animated episodes with original writing and scoring. The website has received critical acclaim from Time, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Wired, and The Hollywood Reporter, as well as numerous festival nominations and awards, including the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
