CORDURA® Fabrics Featured in New VAUDE Terkum 65+10 III Pack

Pack manufacturer selects CORDURA® fabrics for lightweight durability.

Wichita, KS, July 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- VAUDE, a German manufacturer of backpacks and other mountain sporting equipment, is adopting INVISTA’s CORDURA® fabrics in its new Terkum 65+10 III trekking pack. The pack features a mix of two different CORDURA® fabric technologies for targeted strength-to-weight ratio performance.

VAUDE incorporated best-in-class CORDURA® fabrics on the entire pack body of the Terkum 65+10 III. The main body uses a 210 denier PU coated dobby CORDURA® Lite fabric and the bottom of the pack features 500 denier PU coated CORDURA® Classic fabric. Both are designed to provide added durability and enhanced performance characteristics.

Complementing the durable materials on the pack, VAUDE added many useful and innovative features including an adjustable, detachable lid and outer and inner zip lid compartments. The pack also comes with a bottle holder, compression straps, gear attachment, bottom compartment, sternum strap, and rain cover. The pack can be fully adjusted to fit the wearer’s needs thanks to the Tergolight Easy Adjust suspension system and the innovative hipbelt with Boa® adjustment system.

“The new Terkum 65+10 III pack, featuring two of our CORDURA® fabric technologies, is a perfect example of our fabric’s versatility,” says Cindy McNaull, global CORDURA® brand and marketing director. “The CORDURA® Lite fabric helps to keep the overall pack weight manageable and the 500 denier CORDURA® Classic fabric on the bottom showcases our brand’s innate durability to withstand repeated contact with ground surfaces, in this instance.”

The VAUDE Terkum 65+10 III pack is tailor-made for those that need additional height coverage and offers efficient packing and durability for all outdoor adventures.
