Plainview, NY, July 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Karen Sherman, Psychologist and relationship expert was interviewed by Ed Tyll on his radio show on July 17. A variety of topics pertaining to relationships were covered.

Dr. Sherman is the co-author of "Marriage Magic! Find It, Keep It, and Make It Last," and explained what it takes to make a partnership thrive. She felt that "Couples need to work at their relationship if they want their relationship to work." Dr. Sherman also stated that it's important to prioritize your relationship.

Tyll asked why so many marriages fail or people are unhappy in them. Dr. Sherman suggested that couples can remedy this and even get back good feelings by doing the very same things that they did during the Honeymoon Phase.

Regardless of the almost 50% divorce rate, most people still believe in marriage. Unfortunately, according to Dr. Sherman, most couples don't know the skills to have a successful marriage. She went on to say that if you don't learn the "steps with the partner you're with, when you change partners, you're still going to step on their toes as well."
