The Animal Rescue Site Urges Visitors to “Give 5” for Petfinder Programs

The Animal Rescue Site celebrates ten years of giving this summer by urging visitors to the feel-good, click-to-give website to "Give 5" for shelter programs.

Seattle, WA, July 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Animal Rescue Site celebrates ten years of giving this summer by urging visitors to GreaterGood Network's click-to-give website to “Give 5” for shelter programs.

Teaming up with the Petfinder.com Foundation and What You Can Do video, The Animal Rescue Site launched a “$50K In 50 Days” campaign to support Petfinder programs that benefit shelters and rescue groups. The campaign launched on July 9, 2012, at http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/Give5.

Urging visitors through YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and the website to give just $5 to support animal rescue, the donations received exceeded $16,000 by Wednesday, July 18, as documented in this video: http://youtu.be/3INCzazDghE

All donations received through this $5 Gift That Gives More [tm] will go to the Petfinder.com Foundation. The Foundation estimates that $16,000 can vaccinate 8,000 rescued pets, feed 3,000 rescued pets, increase the chance of adoption of 1,600 rescued dogs through training and enrichment, provide 1,600 raised shelter beds to get shelter dogs off the cold hard floor, or make 300 outdoor pens for dogs and cats to stretch their legs and get much needed exercise.

The Animal Rescue Site will continue to feature this campaign through August. If more than $50,000 is donated, that simply means more rescued pets helped by Petfinder.com Foundation programs. (100% of all donations received through GreaterGood.org’s Gifts That Give More program to charity—administrative fees are paid for by The Animal Rescue Site or other GreaterGood Network websites).

The Animal Rescue Site's “Click Here To Give” purple homepage button provides a simple, fast free way to help animal charities. Visitors can click daily to display a series of ads and 100% of the donations from sponsoring advertisers are donated to Petfinder.com Foundation, Rescue Bank, International Fund for Animal Welfare, Fund for Animals, North Shore Animal League America, and other worthy groups selected by GreaterGood.org.

Additional funding for animal charities is provided through shopping at The Animal Rescue Site store (http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/store) or donations received through the Gifts That Give More [tm] program.

Donations from The Animal Rescue Site and other GreaterGood Network websites is distributed by the independent 501(c)3 GreaterGood.org.
