Free Wheelchair Mission's 9th Annual Magic of Mobility Gala Provides 15,810 Wheelchairs

Costa Mesa, CA, July 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Free Wheelchair Mission, an Irvine, CA-based nonprofit that provides the gift of mobility to the impoverished disabled in developing nations, is proud to announce that through the generosity of their donors and sponsors the 9th Annual Magic of Mobility Gala event raised enough funds to provide 15,810 wheelchairs—$1,010,899 in one evening.

Event Chairwoman Deborah Anderson was extremely happy with the event saying, “The evening was magical from start to finish: our special guest Fabio was wonderful and amazing. Everyone appeared to have a great time. Our organization has been blessed beyond measure, from the generosity of our donors down to the volunteers making the event happen and go smoothly. I have been honored to be part of this journey.”

FWM President and Founder Dr. Don Schoendorfer was also very pleased by the evening. “There were times I just had to stop thinking, close my eyes and thank God he brought us together, all of us, and gave us this assignment. Thousands more now have a chance for a better life.”
