Leavenworth, WA, July 29, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- Chukar Cherries is proud to announce the grand opening of their new store and tasting room at 939 Front Street in Leavenworth, Washington. Leavenworth is located on Highway 2 near the Alpine Lakes Wilderness which provides an idyllic setting for this Bavarian-styled tourist destination.
With Chukar’s manufacturing headquarters and flagship store in eastern Washington and their popular storefront in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, Leavenworth was a natural choice for a third store. According to Tommy Montgomery, Chukar’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, "Leavenworth's central location and the fact that it's a major Washington destination made it the perfect place to offer our authentic Pacific Northwest fruits and gifts."
Leavenworth has a rich history of innovation and creativity. After the departure of the railroads and sawmills, Leavenworth was on its way to becoming a ghost town. So in the 1960’s, the community reinvented their town into a Bavarian village using the picturesque Enchantments (part of the Cascade Mountains) as a backdrop. Now more than a million visitors come to Leavenworth every year for the many festivals, outdoor activities, and dining.
Chukar Cherries in Leavenworth will offer the company’s tasty lineup of chocolates, dried cherries, energy mixes, cherry sauces, and Pacific Northwest gifts.
Chukar dries their cherries and berries all naturally without sulfites, additives, or preservatives. The fruit is grown on Northwest orchards and coated in chocolate at Chukar’s original location in the heart of Washington’s cherry growing region.
Chukar® products can be purchased at the company stores in Prosser, Pike Place Market, and Leavenworth as well as online at www.chukar.com.
