Local John Deere Technician Opens Tractor Repair Shop in Medford Wisconsin

New farm tractor repair facility opens in Medford, Wisconsin.

Medford, WI, August 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Derek Thompson, a John Deere Technician of 15 years, announces the opening of a new tractor repair facility in Medford, Wisconsin. The new shop will specialize in servicing all models of farm tractors era 1982 and older and engines of all makes.

"After years of seeing labor rates rise and technology grow, I began to see a local need for a shop that caters to the smaller farmer and the older equipment," says Thompson Engine Company's owner, Derek Thompson. “I grew up on a farm in Medford, milking 100 cows so I understand the importance to the smaller farms to have their equipment back up and running as quickly as possible and to have it repaired right the first time. I won't cut corners to do the job right, but I do have less overhead than the larger dealerships which means that I can offer the smaller farmer a lower labor rate.”

Thompson Engine Company will be opening up August 1st, 2012 in the old Persteiner Trucking building on State Hwy 64 in Medford. They will offer tractor repair and used tractor consignment sales.

Although their official opening is August 1st, they will begin taking equipment in for repair on July 16th.

Thompson Engine Company LLC will be located at W5285 State Hwy 64 in Medford Wisconsin. They can be reached at 715-314-1393 or via their new website at www.ThompsonEngineCompany.com.
