For this reason, Ms. Kusum Kavia, Executive Vice President was invited to be a guest speaker on the Energy Panel at the GE African American Forum Customer & Strategic Partner Summit in Washington D.C. on July 10 -11.

The Customer & Strategic Partner Summit provided a unique opportunity for GE leaders, employees, customers and strategic partners to strengthen relationships, exchange best practices, network and discuss ideas for success in doing business in Africa.

Along with an extensive Q & A session with the audience, the Energy Panel’s main focus was:
· * Current business climate in Africa and how it differs from a decade ago
· * Where is the growth potential
· * Current challenges and lessons learned

Panel speakers also included principals from Federal Republic of Nigeria, Symbion Power, Bresson Energy, Group Five and NBTE (National Board for Technical Education - Nigeria).
