Free Wheelchair Mission Named Finalist for 2012 CLASSY Award in Health and Well Being

Free Wheelchair Mission, a faith-based nonprofit organization that provides the gift of mobility to the impoverished disabled in developing nations, has been selected as a finalist by StayClassy, Inc. for the 2012 CLASSY Award in the category of Health and Well Being. Finalists were selected from a pool of regional finalists by a public vote and selection panel made up of past CLASSY award winners.

Irvine, CA, August 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fresh off of their 9th Annual Magic of Mobility Celebration, which raised over $1 million in a single evening (providing 15,810 wheelchairs), Free Wheelchair Mission is pleased to announce that they have been selected as one of four finalists for the 2012 CLASSY Award in the category of Health and Well Being. FWM Founder and President Dr. Don Schoendorfer said, “This is really exciting for us as an organization, but extremely humbling at the same time. To know that from among all of the truly incredible charities that were also in the running for the Health and Well Being award we’ve been selected as one of four finalists; again, it’s very humbling. We’ve had a great response from our supporters. Once we announced that we had been selected as regional finalists, they were out letting people know about the nomination and getting their friends to vote. It’s great for us to see that they’re excited as well.”

Winners of each CLASSY Award category will be announced at the CLASSY Awards ceremony in San Diego, CA on Saturday, September 29.
