)-- With growing concerns over hexane extraction processes and the possibility of residual solvents being present in Supplements, ESB Developments Ltd is delighted to confirm that Opti3 is produced using a unique enzymatic process.
Hexane is a low cost solvent and widely used by companies to extract DHA & EPA from algal oils. There are however justified concerns not only about the potential for residual hexane being present in resulting Food Supplements, but of course about the lack of sustainability of hexane itself.
Opti3 co-inventor and Marketing Director Chris Smith commented; "We get a lot of questions about hexane, and it is good to know our customers are so clued-up on such important topics. We believe in purity and sustainability from the start of our process right through to the end. The unique enzymatic process ensures we don't need harsh solvents and of course ensures our product is totally pure."
Speaking about contradictions in marketing messages from some other brands, Chris added; "We're very lucky to have a fab product so like to spend our time talking about our own brand and not others. However the one bit of advice I have for consumers is to challenge other Vegetarian Omega-3 EPA/DHA brands that claim to be 'pure' and 'organic' and suchlike, and ask them for clarification about their processes. We know just how many use hexane and other unsustainable solvents."
Opti3 is a market-leading, high strength Omega-3 EPA & DHA formula with a daily dose of 200IU vegan Vitamin D3.
