Savvy Social Security Planning Webinar

60-minute webinar will provide Baby Boomers with what they need to know to help maximize their retirement benefits.

Jackson, MI, August 18, 2012 --( A free webinar for Baby Boomers interested in getting the most out of their Social Security retirement benefits will be presented next week by Richmond Brothers, Inc. The webinar, “Savvy Social Security Planning,” will take place Tuesday, August 21 at 12 pm EST and will be led by Advisor Dan Vredeveld.

Concerns of the system "going broke" have caused many Boomers to decide that benefits will not be available for them, but Vredeveld concedes they should not worry. “Because baby boomers have been in their peak earning years, the trust fund has accumulated more than needed for current benefits. Right now the trust fund holds about $2.6 trillion, which is invested in special-issue Treasury securities,” he said.

Richmond Brothers, Inc., recently featured in two Wall Street Journal articles for the assistance provided to clients regarding Social Security timing, decided to open this webinar to the public because of the need for continued education about topics such as retirement benefits. “Education is the key to making informed decisions and Social Security is far more valuable than most people realize. By optimizing Social Security and coordinating it with the rest of your retirement income plan, you can pursue the universal dream of a comfortable, worry-free retirement,” said Vredeveld.

In this 60-minute webinar, participants will draw insight on the top questions about Social Security:

- Will Social Security be there for me?
- How much can I expect to receive?
- When should I apply for Social Security?
- How can I maximize my benefits?
- Will Social Security be enough to live on in retirement?
