Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Makes It Even Easier for Guests on a Liverpool Pier Head Sailing

Suffolk, United Kingdom, August 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- As part of its commitment to its new Liverpool Pier Head departures in 2013, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will be offering guests a complimentary hourly shuttle service between Lime Street Rail Station, the Bus Station and the Cruise Terminal. It will not be necessary for guests to pre-book this new service.

Nathan Philpot, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Sales and Marketing Director, said:

“We are delighted to be able to offer guests the chance to cruise from the world-famous Pier Head in Liverpool in 2013, with its iconic vistas and vibrant atmosphere. We are now making it even easier for guests to cruise with us through this complimentary shuttle service, and we look forward to welcoming our loyal Merseyside customers aboard Boudicca next year.”

Fred. Olsen has one of the highest numbers of cruise calls into Liverpool’s Pier Head in 2013, with 10 departures on a variety of exciting worldwide itineraries, between April and August. The cruise line is a long-standing supporter of the Merseyside region, and welcomed the decision to grant turnaround status for Pier Head as a great opportunity for the City of Liverpool to boost its status as a major departure port in the UK.

Boudicca will be offering a wide range of cruise itineraries from Liverpool in 2013, of varying durations – from a 12-night Canary Islands cruise in April 2013 to a four-night mini-cruise in August 2013.

Fred. Olsen will also be adding Harwich and Belfast to its list of regional departure ports in 2013. Together with the return to Liverpool in 2013, this means that Fred. Olsen is able to operate a vessel within only a two hours’ drive from 80% of the UK population, further enhancing its reputation as the UK’s local cruise line with a choice of global itineraries.
