Col. George Satterthwaite II, Recently Recognized by America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals

About Col. George Satterthwaite II
Col. Satterthwaite is currently associated with the US Army. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.A. from Johns Hopkins University. Col. Satterthwaite has a long and impressive career with the US Army starting in 1957 as Fire Control Platoon Leader Nike Ajax Defense, Petroleum Depot Commander, Supply Officer, United Nations Military Armistice Commission, Panmunjom Republic of Korea to name a few. His numerous awards include Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (3 times), Army Commendation Medal (3 times), Cold War Campaign Medal, Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, SAR Bronze Good Citizenship Medal and the SAR War Service Medal. Col. Satterthwaite is on the Alumni Executive Board of the Sidwell Friends School and Chairman of the Alumni Fundraising Committee. He is also on the Executive Board of the Piscataway Hills Citizens Association (Local).
