Spreading Free Smiles Across Blue Springs, MO

Blue Springs, MO, September 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Alan Foster is out to change lives again this year by offering free smiles to those less fortunate who need dental work, as they host the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) on September 22, 2012, providing the first 100 patients with free dental services.

The media is invited to join Foster Dental Care and a team of dental professionals and volunteers to help 100+ people in need of dental work - treating patients in need of fillings, extractions and cleanings. Over the past few years, Foster Dental Care has helped many patients in need, and this event will be their third charitable Dentistry from the Heart event. To date, Foster Dental Care has helped bring relief to over 200 people, providing thousands of dollars in free dental services to their community.

Dentistry From The Heart is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission - making people smile. Founded in 2001, DFTH was created to aid those in need - including the growing population of under-insured. Over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn't an option for many. This year, DFTH will help more than 12,000 patients and provide millions in dental care.

"Now more than ever, I know there are people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them - whether they're out of a job, or just don't have dental insurance. Dentistry From The Heart is our way of giving back to the community, and helping people who are in need of dental work," said Dr. Foster. Last year Dr. Foster and the team at Foster Dental Care were able to treat 115 people by providing free dental services to people who otherwise couldn’t afford it. This year Foster Dental Care’s goal is to treat 150 adults.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 22nd at Foster Dental Care located at 2150 NW South Outer Rd., Blue Springs, MO. Starting at 8:00 AM, Dr. Foster and a team of volunteers will treat the first 100 patients, or however many they can service by 4:00 PM. Services provided consist of either a free filling, cleaning, or extraction. Patients seeking treatment must be 18 and up, appointments will be on a first come, first served basis.
