Fort Myers Attorney Amanda Brock Named to Executive Council of Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Section

Fort Myers, FL, September 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Amanda Brock has been named to the Executive Council of the Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Section (“ELULS”), which has over 2,000 members. The ELULS provides a forum for discussion and keeps its members updated on Environmental and Land Use Law, which changes frequently and has seen significant change in the past few years. ELULS also sponsors seminars and mixers with its affiliate members to ensure that information is easily transferred between the groups. ELULS continually updates its Treatise to ensure that the current law is reflected.

Brock concentrates her practice in administrative law, particularly in the area of land use and environmental law. She routinely handles matters involving environmental compliance, zoning, development approvals, property tax appeals, and hazardous waste site remediation. She represents clients before local, state and federal agencies. She is a regular contributor to the firm's The Legal Scoop on Southwest Florida Real Estate and speaks frequently on land use and environmental matters.

For that past four years, Brock has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers® magazine as a "Rising Star" in the field of land use, zoning and environmental law, which recognizes the top 2.5% of young attorneys in the State. She also holds a BV® rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Brock is very active in the community and serves on the Board of Governors for the Real Estate Investment Society, on the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation Board, and on the Leadership Council for the Take Stock in Children program.
